German, French, Spanish ... sound all Greek to you?
Then you've arrived at the right site. I have been translating texts of different genres from and to German, French, Spanish, and English since 1991. My mother tongue is German, main foreign language is English.
My field of activity lies in the translation of
- texts for websites and brochures
- technical and software documentation
- training documents and online-help projects
Lines of business I've translated for include medical technology, automation, drives, print technology, research.
I completed my language education in 1991 at the Nuremberg school of foreign languages. During an au pair stay in Spain and a 6-month project for a German company in Chicago, USA, I was able to further develop my language skills where you learn it best - abroad.
Between 1996 and 1998, I worked as a freelance translator for Siemens, and for a German company in Chicago, USA. In 1998, Siemens employed me for translations and technical documentation. From 2001 to 2009, I worked as a web content manager for a sector Siemens Healthcare. Translating website content was part of my tasks.
2009 I started working as a freelancer again. My customers are Siemens AG, Fraunhofer Institute, PPM Graphic Industries, Brandical ad agency, and others.
